Kate. Kate is the stubborn girl. I mean, WOW stubborn. For instance, we walked in the door the other day and she usually needs me to help her take her coat off. So I unzipped her coat and boy was that a mistake. She screamed and hollered. I tried to zip it back up so she could do it but the damage was done. She sat in the laundry room with a pout on her face covering her eyes with the back of her hands (she takes this position quite frequently). We had friends over so I left her there, figuring she would get over it and play with her friends. Quite some time later (I can never keep track of time but it was a really long time) my friend Kim asks if Kate is still in there. Realizing I hadn't seen her around I peeked my head into the mud room. And there she was in the same exact place. Pout on her face with the hands over the eyes.
More evidence. She has this thing as of late where she will not swallow her food. I have found breakfast at lunch time, lunch at dinner and dinner at bed time. Usually I make her spit it out but lately we have been trying to get her to swallow it. I was at work (Tanya, I work at the YMCA teaching two classes a week, you can hardly even call it work) and Nik was going to watch a movie with the girls. He told Kate she had to sit in her chair until she ate her food. She sat there for 45 min.
Kate was in one of her blue funks and wouldn't snap out of it until I offered to paint her nails. It's all this little girl needed to hear.
