Elle got a bed tonight (technically for Christmas, but we picked it up tonight). The kids got to bed latter than normal due to picking up the bed (how I wish Santa delivered). Elle was so excited! Making sure the bed was perfectly made (for those of you who don't know, she is ocd). We laid out her cloths for school tomorrow, did our nightly routine and left her there alone in her bed. It is now 9:40, Nik went in to check on her and she was sitting up in her bed, dressed in her school clothes, playing with her toys in the dark. AWESOME! I couldn't stop laughing. All this time I was afraid of her coming in our bed keeping us up at night and now I realize she will be the only one up at night. Perfectly happy playing by herself in her bed. What a big girl.

That is hilarious! Why did I think she was already in a big girl bed? Oh well. I can't believe she got dressed. Did she think she was going to play all night and skip sleeping all together? So funny.
Brooke-
Too big, to big. i love that she needs things just so. what a cutey! I wish they invented the word..for the feeling a parent gets when they listen in on there child through a door. The feeling of trying to surpress a laugh attack and the rush of relief there growing up on there own time (even when you mess up a little.)
From our halls in the night to yours, wishing you magic at all times.
Autumn
i love that she has a nightly routine! all of us are ocd and we had VERY specific guidelines for getting tucked in at night.
