Baby Cake is no longer a baby! She absolutely amazes me. We were driving home from vacation the night before her birthday and I realized I had planned nothing, done nothing and gotten nothing for her. We had absolutely no food in cupboard or fridge. I was panicked. She woke up early on her birthday crying (this is usual). I walked into her room expecting the hour consoling on my bed with her blanket and back rub but NO. I walked in and said "Happy Birthday" and her tears vanished and were replaced with a huge smile that lasted the whole day long. She had no idea anything was missing because she got to tell people she was two! Thanks to all those who called her. I know you can't understand what she is saying but it is her favorite to talk on the phone.

brooke...how do you know my cousin anna??? i never knew that you knew her, but i see that your cousin who lives here is also friends with anna's sister, amber. i saw her comment on amber's blog. did i know all of this before and motherhood has just left my mind, well, basically blank???
