So when we moved to Albany I believe I was around eight or nine weeks pregnant. We were moving into our house and neighbors would come over to meet us. Yes two different people asked when I was due. I realise I was pregnant but BARELY!!
Here in NY people look at me as though I am insane for have two small ones with one on the way. Some even drop their jaws and say things like "oh my gosh" or "you are crazy". So one day I wandered into Marshalls. The girls and I were trying to kill some time and I noticed there were no signs for maternity clothes. I asked a worker there if they had any and she told me they didn't and apologized for not having them. Then she looked at my cart filled with young children, looked at my stomach, looked at my children and thinking it absolutely impossible to be pregnant again told me matter of fact "You don't need maternity clothes, you just need to go work out at the gym"
Elle broke her arm and thought she broke her legs as well and would not walk. Kate is not walking yet, there for she is still carried. I took Elle into the doctor to get her cast put on. I was caring both of them in. It was during both their naps and so both of them were crying. I got to the front of the line and was trying to check in. I set Elle on the counter while still holding on to her. I was trying to get my insurance information out and when I got it and was handing it to the lady I looked up to see a stunned face. Pointing at Elle, than my tummy, then Kate said "what were you thinking". Those moments just make you feel like a million bucks.
So a few months ago we were at a Church social. A very nice man came up to me and asked when the basket ball was coming out. I informed him of the due date and then he asked how many I was having. I informed him that I was just having one and then he wouldn't stop. "There is no way there is just one baby in there. Those doctors have got to be wrong. They should really check again. There is no way there is just one baby in there". You've got to love it.
And you would think my third would come on time!

I lOVE IT! People are crazy! You're not abnormally big at all. You look 9 months pregnant. I've seen bigger, much bigger. It's probably because you're so tiny everywhere else. You look so cute. I can't wait to see your little BOY. I can't believe it!
So is it the string on the necklace that breaks or the ball itself?
oh, and i love your hair.
You crack me up!!! I've told so many people your Marshalls story--and of course in Utah they haved a very stunned reaction. It's completely normal behavior here of course. You look darling. could your backside be any tinier for 40+ weeks!!! That's where all my pregnancy goes. I swear the day the test is positive it grows three sizes. I'm sure hoping that little guy makes his debut before your induction. It's kind of fun to go into labor on your own!!!
Don't you wonder how people can be so OPEN when it comes to children and basically they say anything they want? You are a champ! You look awesome.
Oh my goodness! People shock me. I'm sorry that you were the object of such ridiculous comments, but they do make for good reading.
I think you look amazing, and I think you ARE amazing! Having young kids is not easy, but SO worth it. You rock.
I really do have your Dr. Satterwhite cd. I stink. I promise you'll get it soon. :((
People are so funny sometimes. My mom had all four of us by the time she was 28 and people always thought she was the babysitter...You look like such a cute pregnant lady! (p.s. this is Elise from back in lacrosse days, I just stumbled across your blog. so fun!)
My Mom had 10 in 12 in half years. She tells some pretty funny stories of the things people would say. I think its great! I admire you for having kids and having them so close together. If we had a choice ours would be as close as yours. You are great Mom and a great example. You look awesome by the way! Good luck! I hope he comes soon.
Oh my gosh Brooke, you look unbelievable! All baby for sure! Your stories are hilarious. I can't believe you're due any day now. Hang in there!
First I want to how great you look with your perfectly round belly. You are so lucky to stay small everywhere else!
I'm glad that you shared your stories because although I am sure they were slightly traumatic at the time - you have to admit that they are a little funny. I can't believe what people say/think.
FYI - Ross sells maternity clothes (unlike Marshalls and TJMaxx).
